Los suecos de Falun, -una de esas bandas que descubrías en MySpace-, vuelven con el bolsillo más cargado de billetes que nunca, con nuevo batería, y dispuestos a hacer lo que les apetece, ahondando en su obsesión por el dinero y la muerte. Esta es la primera parte de un disco que se editará en tres entregas, con las otras fechas de publicación en otoño y principios de 2013.
Olvida todo lo que recuerdas de su debut, ‘Die For Diamonds‘ (2010), porque han sufrido una evolución similar a la de Sister: del glam rock pasan a sonidos más pesados, de sugerir la pesadilla, a escenificarla. Aquí no encontrarás vocales a lo Gary Moore con estribillos de construcción Pat Benatar. Sitúalos cerca de Deathstars y de The 69 Eyes y acertarás. De hecho, el ritmo del single, ‘In The Back Of My Limousine‘, recuerda mucho al ‘Perfect Skin‘ de los fineses y líricamente beben de las mismísimas fuentes contaminadas de Alice Cooper: ámame hasta la muerte soy el que hace realidad tu pesadilla, llamáme demente, tengo herramientas que te convertirán en un desastre.
El segundo tema, ‘A Millionaire’s Dream‘, trae ecos del Bowie de la banda sonora de La Mujer Pantera y en él se dedican a ironizar sobre la vida de una rock star.
Cierran con ‘Crashing Down‘, el tema más suavecito y que más recuerda a su anterior trabajo.
Las siguientes entregas nos confirmarán hacia dónde se dirigen en su nueva etapa, pero lo que ya queda evidente es que son de lo mejorcito que suena ahora en Suecia.

The Swedish from Falun, -one of those bands you discovered through Myspace-, come back with more money in their pockets than ever, with a new drummer, and eager to do what they please, deeping in their obsession for money and death. This is the first part of a record that will be released in three times, and the rest will be ready in autumn and in the early 2013.
Forget about everything you remember from their debut, ‘Die For Diamonds‘ (2010), because they’ve had an evolution similar to Sister: from glam rock they go to heavier sounds, from suggesting the nightmare, to play it. Here you won’t find vocals inspired by Gary Moore with choruses with a Pat Benatar construction. Put them near Deathstars and The 69 Eyes and you’ll hit the point. In fact, the rhythm of their single, ‘In The Back Of My Limousine‘, evokes the ‘Perfect Skin‘ of the Finnish, and lyrically they drink from the same polluted waters of Alice Cooper: love me till death I’m the one that makes your nightmare come true, call me insane I have tools that will make a mess out of you.
The second track, ‘A Millionaire’s Dream‘, reminds the Bowie of the soundtrack of Cat People and in it they ironize about the rock star’s life style.
They close with ‘Crashing Down‘, the lightest song and the one that it’s most connected to their previous work.
The next parts will confirm us where they are heading to in their new etape, but what’s evident right now it’s that they are among the best bands in Sweden.
