La formación rockera de la vieja escuela sueca The Gloria Story siempre han mantenido a KISS como una de sus mayores influencias. Teniendo en cuenta que este año la formación neoyorquina está de 40 aniversario, y que además acaban de ser incluidos en el Salón de la Fama del Rock, este tema – ‘Live your life in Shame‘ – interpretado por TGS es todo un alegato como fans. Está plagada de referencias y resulta sencillamente todo un homenaje a uno de los grupos de rock más importantes de todos los tiempos. El vídeo – repleto de llamas, chicas y acción «Made in KISS» – se estrena coincidiendo con el arranque hoy de la gira 40 Aniversario de KISS junto a Def Leppard. El clip es también la forma que TGS tienen para decir «Gracias [Kiss] por estos 40 años de rock y enhorabuena por la entrada en el Salón de la Fama».
La banda no ha querido usar el famoso maquillaje de Kiss en el vídeo porque les parecía algo demasiado obvio. En su lugar, las cuatro protagonistas utilizan distintos pintalabios – cada uno representando el color característico que se utilizó en los cuatro álbumes solistas de Kiss, y representando a su vez cuatro temas clásicos dedicados a las chicas ‘Christine’, ‘Beth’, ‘Shandi’ y ‘Domino’.
‘Live your life in Shame‘ es el tercer single de TGS extraído de su álbum ‘Born To Lose‘ (Sound Pollution Distribution, 2013). El vídeo ha sido producido por Petter Björnlund de los Snowbox Studios.

The Gloria Story holds Kiss as one of their main influences. This year marks Kiss 40:th anniversary. It is also the year that Kiss finally got inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. TGS’s song «Live your Life in Shame» is all about «life as a Kiss-fan». It’s packed with Kiss-references and is nothing short of an hommage to one of the greatest rock-groups of all time. The video – filled with flames, girls, action and a lot of KISSING – is released on the same day as Kiss kicks off their 40th anniversary-tour together with Def Leppard. June 23. The «Live your Life in Shame-video» is TGS’s way of saying: «Thank you Kiss for the music during 40 years of Rock and Roll, and congratulations on the RARHOF induction».
Note: The Gloria Story didn’t want to use the iconic, trademark KISS-makeup in the video, because it would be a little too obvious. Instead the four different girls appearing in the video wears different colour lipstick – each of them representing the theme-colour from the the original four Kiss solo-albums, and each of them representing the classic «Kiss-song girls» aka Christine, Beth, Shandi and Domino.
